Community Yoga

Yoga is fantastic for well-being, we want to make this activity more accessible for our community.

We offer classes for all abilities at the following locations and your first class is free!

Regular exercise promotes healthy ageing and increases your quality of life. We offer a range of fun classes for those looking for low impact activities.

Minimovers

Get your little ones moving! We offer early movement sessions using fun, music, sports and play! These sessions are appropriate for tamariki Under 5 who have started walking.

MINIMOVERS: Koraunui Stokes Valley Community Hub, Thursdays at 10.00am

KORIKORI KIDS: Walter Nash Centre, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9.00am

COST: Location dependent.  Please contact the facility.

Inclusive Group Fitness Classes for disabled adults (intellectual & physical) catering for all abilities & fitness levels.

Join us for a 45 minute dance-based session.

Thursdays' 10am-11am @ Moera Hall

Program runs during term time only (no classes during school holidays).

Classes are $3 per session.
Participants are able to pay via cash on entry OR are encouraged to purchase a 10 trip card ($30 for 10 sessions). 10 trip cards can be paid for by cash on entry to class.

Whanau & carers welcome. Wheelchair friendly. 

All attendees will be required to fill in a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire which can be downloaded here. 

Otherwise, you are welcome to complete these details at your first class.

Play in the Hutt

We want to get our community PLAYING again! Play in the Hutt is a movement kick-starting action on play locally and nationally. Play is vital for our health and happiness - we want to get our kids out exploring and being active.

Community Sports Banks

Hutt City Council, in collaboration with the Wellington City Mission are proud to have supported the opening of five community sports banks in our city. The aim of the Community Sports Bank Project is to reduce and eliminate the cost of equipment for those in need. Through collection and redistribution of sports gear, this project aims to increase participation. 

Community Sports Bank Locations:

  • Kokiri Marae, Seaview

  • Taita - Walter Nash Centre

  • Naenae - Naenae Boxing Academy
